Leone C. Dehlin
May 19, 1914 – March 22, 1992
TURNER - Leona Christensen Dehlin, 77, died Sunday at Clackamas.
A native of Salt Lake City, she moved to Turner 25 years ago.
She married Preston A. Dehlin on March 8, 9137, he died Dec. 7, 1989.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She received several awards and recognition for church service, including the coveted Golden Gleaner, for lifelong work with youth. She was also Salem Woman of the Year.
She is survived by her sons, David, of Keizer, and Richard of Charlotte, N. C.; sisters, Hope Oelschlaeger and La Verne Nelson, both of Salem, and Pearl Christensen of Lafayette, Calif.; brothers, Frank of Dallas and J. R. of Boise, Idaho; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visiting will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday in Virgil T. Golden mortuary, Salem. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Turner Ward. Interment will be at Cloverdale Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the church missionary fund.
