TURNER - Marian Rose (Rosno) Spitz died peacefully at home in Turner, Ore. on Sept. 18, 2003. Marian was born on Jan. 1, 1936 in Ewing, Neb. to Joseph ‘Joe’ and Rose Miller Rosno. Marian attended the Mt. Angel Academy and graduated from Stayton Union High School in 1954, where she met her husband, Edward ‘E.H.’ Spitz. Ed and Marian were married on Jan. 15, 1955 in Stayton, and celebrated 48 years of marriage. There are many things that made Marian special including her love and enjoyment of family, her passion for painting, and her fondness of gardening. Her gardens spring into beautiful full bloom each and every year. From her hands a misshapen gourd would become an impish gnome, and family and friends alike marveled at her imagination and skill with a paint brush. She was a voracious reader, and read every thing from Robert Frost to Tom Clancy. She took great pleasure in traveling, especially cruises and vacations to Hawaii.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Spitz of Turner; daughters, Kimberlee Kaye of Corvallis and Karin Lynn of Benton City, Wash.; sons, Keith of Boulder, Colo. and Kelly of Casper, Wyo.; and eight grandchildren.
A time to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. Mon., Sept. 22 at Weddle Funeral Home, Stayton. Interment will be at Cloverdale Cemetery in Turner.
