OBITUARY:  At the home of her brother, S.W. Miles, four miles north of Independence, Oregon, Sunday, June 24, 1906, Miss Esther Miles, aged 62 years, of paralysis. Deceased was the daughter of Mrs. Jeremiah Miles, of Polk county, her father having preceded her to the grave several years ago. She was born in Miami county, Ohio, and for many years was a teacher in the public schools. The funeral will be held from the home of S.W. Miles at 9 o’clock this morning and the remains will be interred at the Cornelius cemetery, three miles south of Turner.
