Sally Paull
Hood River resident Sally Paull died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at the Hood River Care Center. She was 65 years of age. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Hood River Seventh Day Adventist Church at 2 p.m. Private burial will be held later at Cloverdale Cemetery in Turner, Ore. Sally was born Nov. 27, 1938, in Marysville, Calif., to Ed and Evelina (Bliss) Mann. Her family followed work around the western United States, so she grew up in a number of different communities. In 1956 the Mann family moved to The Dalles, Ore., where her father went to work for the railroad. Sally met her future husband Wesley Paull who also worked at the railroad in 1956. On Dec. 22, 1956, Sally married Wesley Paull in White Salmon, Wash. Together they lived in The Dalles, until moving to Hood River in 1966. Sally worked for Luhr Jensen for 11 years while in Hood River. She then worked for two local CPAs until 1994 when her husband retired. In their retirement the Paulls enjoyed to travel. Together they would plan long trips with their RV across the United States. Sally and her husband moved to Down Manor in Hood River after she became too ill to travel. In her spare time Sally enjoyed working on and completing puzzles and doing crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Hood River Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Western Horizon Travel Club.
Mrs. Paull is survived by her husband, Wesley Paull, of Hood River, daughter Angela Pietrok of Troutdale, Ore., sister Fern Osborne of The Dalles, Ore., brother Fred Mann of Salem, Ore., and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Sally was preceded in death by her son Wesley Dean Paull in February of 1968. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, c/o Anderson’s Tribute Center, 1401 Belmont, Hood River, OR 97031.
