OBITUARY: 
ST PAUL - Barbara Jean Bernard passed away at her home in St Paul, Saturday morning.
She was born in Fairfield, Ore. 5 miles south of St Paul to Bob and Nellie Dungey. She attended a one room school house in Fairfield through the eighth grade and then on to Gervais High school, where she graduated in 1950. She met Bill Bernard during her High School years and was married in September 1950. She was self employed owning a garage and gas station in St Paul and later on a wrecking/recycling yard with her husband Bill for 45 years. She enjoyed cooking, making homemade breads, hunting, fishing, clam digging and most of all the company of others.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; sons, Bill of Woodburn and Pete of Keizer; daughter, Janice of Keizer; 4 grandchildren, Jonathan, Jessica, Danielle & Candice; sisters, Mildred Lamb of Whittier, Calif. and Ida Lesher of Brooks; and brother, Ralph Dungey of Keizer. Her brother Bob and her parents preceded her in death.
Contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the Willamette Valley. Arrangements will be held at Cornwell Colonial Chapel in Woodburn, Ore. at 1:30 Wednesday, August 28. Private burial at Fairfield Cemetery with a reception following at the St Paul Fire Hall.
