OBITUARY:
Services for Martha Violet Fudge, 87, of Salem, who died Wednesday, will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Keizer mortuary. She was born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and came to the Salem-Keizer area 40 years ago. She was a food processor at local canneries.
She married Conrad Fudge on Sept. 10, 1927, in Bend; he died in 1947. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, and she enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her daughter, Hazel J. Beaver of Salem, sons, Robert A. of Salem and Donald C. of Bellingham, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visiting will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary.
Private interment will be in Fairfield Cemetery, St. Paul.
