OBITUARY: 
WOODBURN - Thelma Lorraine Lucas, 87, beloved wife of Glenn E. Lucas for 66 years, passed away on May 16, 2005 at her home with her husband at her side.
Thelma was born May 29, 1917 at Fairfield, Ore., the daughter of Ralph and Mary DuRette. She was the second of 10 children.
Thelma’s entire life was spent in service to others, giving and sharing with family, friends and whoever she found that needed compassion and understanding.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Lucas; daughter, Louise Miller of San Angelo, Texas; son, Michael Lucas of Willis, Texas; daughter, Merrillie Wooton of Albuquerque, N.M.; brothers, Melvin and Larry DuRette; sisters, Dorothy Pickens, Mary Lou Workman, Patsy Hafen, Beulah Leder and Betty Hines; 6 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren who will greatly miss her sweet smile and gentle ways.
Viewing will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., Thurs., May 19 and a celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m., Thurs., May 19, 2005 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints on Country Club Road in Woodburn. Graveside service will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Fairfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the missionary fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Arrangements are by Simon-Woodburn Funeral Chapel.
