1930 OR CENSUS - Ida Dungey, age 8, b. Oregon, is enumerated with parents Robert Dungey, age 42, married at age 32, occupation farmer, b. Canada, year of immigration 1896, and Nellie, age 29, married at age 18, b. Missouri, along with Robert, age 6. b. Oregon, and Ralph, age 4 y's 4 m's, b. Oregon.
OBITUARY: 
SALEM - Ida was born in Mt. Vernon, Ore. to parents, Robert and Nellie Dungey, the second of five children. Her parents predeceased her. Ida was four when her family moved to the farm at Fairfield near St. Paul, Ore.
In 1942 she married John Lesher. They made their home north of Salem and John raised onions on Lake Labish. He predeceased her in 1986.
Ida was a very active member of the Church of Christ in Keizer. She was also a member of the Chemeketans hiking club.
Ida was an avid reader. She loved crossword puzzles and music. She enjoyed travel and was always ready to go whenever anyone invited her to go along. She loved to bicycle ride and work in her yard with her flowers. She will always be remembered for her kind spirit, her generosity and her love of dark chocolate. We will all miss her so much.
She is survived by her sister, Mildred Lamb and brother in-law, Ray of Whittier, Calif.; and her brother, Ralph Dungey and sister in-law, Dorothy of Keizer. Her brother, Robert (Bob) Dungey and sister, Barbara Bernard predeceased her. She is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews, twelve great nieces and nephews, and many, many special friends.
A celebration of Ida’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Mon., Aug. 22, 2005 at Church of Christ, 5405 Ridge Drive in Keizer. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society or to the Church of Christ in Keizer.
