DISCREPANCY – DC gives birthplace as England, but census records give birthplace as New Jersey.
OBITUARY: 
At the home in Marion, Saturday, October 4, Mrs. Emma Guss [Guess], aged 85 years. Survived by son, Cog Guss [Guess], Marion; a daughter, Toledo Guss [Guess], Marion; one granddaughter, Mrs. Virgil Baxter, Marion, and five great grandchildren. Funeral announcements later from Walker & Howell Funeral home.
