1900 OR CENSUS - Ellen Ludwig, age 44, mother of 2 children 1 of whom is living at the time of the census, b. Oregon, is enumerated with her husband of 8 years, George Ludwig, age 43, occupation farmer, b. Oct 1856 in Pennsylvania, along with daughter Mordenia, age 6, b. Jan 1894 in Oregon.
1920 OR CENSUS - Sarah E. Ludwig, age 63, b. Oregon, is enumerated with husband George W., age 63, occupation farmer, b. Pennsylvania.
OBITUARY: 
Mrs. Sarah Ellen Ludwig; North Santiam—Mrs. Sarah Ellen Ludwig, 85, died Saturday evening at a Salem hospital.
Sarah Ellen Howard was born June 10, 1856, at Monroe, Ore. In 1892 she married George Ludwig at Chehalis, Wash., who died several years ago. To them were born two daughters, one dying in infancy.
Survived by daughter, Mrs. Modema McNeal of North Santiam; grandchildren, Mrs. Roscoe Porter of Vancouver, Wash., Stanley and Ruth McNeal of North Santiam; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Friends church in Marion. Rev. W. F. Watson officiated. Pall bearers were C D. Schellenberger, S. Ogle, Paul Sims, R. L. Howard, D. Fowler and Maurice Colson. Concluding services were at the Friends cemetery at Marion under the direction of the Clough-Barrick company.
