Cancer Kills Marion Man
MARION, Dec. 25—Walter Edwards Majors, 70, died of cancer Monday in an Albany hospital. He was a resident of Marion for many years.
Majors was born May 6, 1886 in Friends [Friend], Neb., and made his living in Marion as a carpenter.
He is survived by his widow, Karaline Majors, Marion; two sons, Lloyd Majors, Baldwin Park, Calif.; Wilbur Majors, Azusa, Calif.; aunt, Josephine Hopper, Marion; and two brothers, George and Allen, both of Russell Springs, Kan.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Friends Church with interment in Marion Cemetery under direction of the Weddle Funeral Home, Stayton.

W.E. Majors Dies at Albany
Stayton - Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Friends church at Marion for Walter Edwards Majors, 70, who died of cancer Monday in an Albany hospital. Burial will be in the Marion cemetery under direction of the Weddle Funeral chapel, Stayton.
Mr. Majors, a carpenter, was born at Friends, Neb., May 6, 1886.
Surviving are his wife, Karaline, Marion; two sons, Lloyd, Baldwin Park, Calif., and Wilbur Majors, Azusa, Calif.; an aunt, Josephine Hopper, Marion; and two brothers, George and Allen Majors, Russell Springs, Kan.
