Dorothy ‘Dottie’ F. Rogers
January 8, 1939 - October 5, 2006
MARION - Dottie, 67 years old, died at her home on October 5, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wed., Oct. 11, at Weddle Funeral Home, Stayton. Viewing will be from 12-5 p.m., Tues. Oct. 10, also at Weddle Funeral Home. Contributions in her memory may be directed to the Marion Friends Church, Marion, Ore.
Dottie was born in Stamford, Texas. In 1941 she moved with her parents to San Diego, Calif. In 1973 she relocated to a farm in Marion, Ore. where she raised her 6 children. Dottie worked as a delivery driver for the Stayton Mail, the Statesman Journal, and the Albany Democrat Herald for over 19 years.
She is survived by her uncle, Willie Groom of La Pine; her brother, Roy M. Crawford, Jr. of Keizer; her children, Rose Danton of La Pine, SSG, James Morris of Houston, Alaska, Roimarie Brewer of La Pine, Laura Kennedy of Turner, and Hope Rogers of Turner, and Heather Rogers, of Marion; 22 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 2 great friends, Nancy Whitstruck of Mitchell, S.D. and Barbara Dew of Sante, Calif. Her parents and 4 grandchildren preceded her in death.
