OBITUARY:  Dean H. Nollen March 17, 1931-Oct. 3 1993 Dean H. Nollen, 62, of Salem died Sunday in Salem. He was born in Dow City, Iowa, and was a longtime resident of Turner. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He married Thelma Foster on Nov. 24, 1950; they later divorced. Survivors include his sons, Randy D. of Salem, Jimmy W. of Portland, and Keith L. of Aumsville; daughters, Shelly M. Nollen of Washington, Sherry A. Kay and Susan E. Gallardo, both of Turner, and Sandra D. Vasquez of Silverton; brothers Edward of Turner and Don of Marion; sisters, Pearl Thomson of Stayton and Ilene Long of Marion; 23 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held at Marion Cemetery. Arrangements are by Virgil T.
