1880 KS CENSUS - Emma Ohm, age 19, b. Indiana, is enumerated with husband William, age 27, occupation farmer, b. Indiana, and daughter Pearl, age 1, b. Kansas. Also enumerated with the family is James Ohm, identified as brother [of William], age 25, occupation farmer, b. Indiana.
OBITUARY: 
OHM—On Crooked Finer prairie, 16 miles east of Salem, at 5:45 p.m., Monday, Sept. 3, 1894, of consumption, Emma, wife of Wm. Ohm of Highland addition to Salem, aged 31 years.
Deceased has been ill five months with the dread disease. She was a daughter of Joseph Cook, of Marion, and leaves a husband and three daughters aged 15, 13, and 4 years respectively. She was a faithful member of the Friends church. She had two sisters and one brother that survive her—Mrs. Hinshaw of Marion, and Mrs. Ramsey of Highland and J. J. Cook of Marion.
The remains were brought to Salem yesterday and at 8:30 o’clock this morning a short funeral service will be conducted at the family residence by F. M. George. The remains will be taken to Marion where at 2:30 p.m. the funeral will be held and interment will take place in the Friends cemetery near that town.
