1930 OR CENSUS - Edward A. Breitenstein, age 9, b. Oregon, is enumerated with father Joseph B., age 47, first married at age 27, occupation farmer, b. Switzerland, and Rose P., age 43, first married at age 22, b. Pennsylvania, along with John J., age 20, Joseph A., age 18, William J., age 16, Stephen S., age 13, Walter J., age 12, Nicholas P., age 6, and Herman F., age 2, all born in Oregon.
OBITUARY: 
SUBLIMITY—Ed A. Breitenstein, 72, died Sunday in Dayton. He was a native of Sublimity and lived in the area throughout his life. He was born on the family farm and farmed his entire life there. He married Doris Hammang on June 4, 1970, in Sublimity; she died July 18.
His hobbies included reading and crossword puzzles. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity.

Survivors include his stepdaugther, Peggy Schmidt of Carlton; stepsons, Art Hammang of Dayton and Larry Hammang of Oregon City; brothers, Walter and Nicholas, both of Sublimity, William of Independence, Herman of Stayton, and Father Stephen of Roy; and sister Rosemary Heuberger of Sublimity.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in the church. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the church. Private family interment will be in Hobson-Whitney Cemetery, Sublimity. Arrangements are by Weddle mortuary, Stayton.
