OBITUARY:
Charles Benson Passes on. Born Near Sublimity. Charles Henry Benson, 76, a native of Marion county, passed away at the Deaconess hospital Thursday. Funeral services will be held at the Weddle mortuary in Stayton Monday, June 3, at 2 p.m., with interment in the Hobson Whitney cemetery near Sublimity.; Mr. Benson was born on his father’s homestead near Sublimity, March 3, 1859, and lived in that vicinity all his life. He is survived by a brother, John R. Benson of Potlatch, Idaho, and a sister, Mrs. Dora Schellberg of Salem, and numerous nieces and nephews.
