1870 OR CENSUS - Wm. Edgar, age 61, occupation farmer, b. Virginia, is enumerated with wife Phebe, age 64, b. Virginia, along with Rankin, age 26, laborer, b. Indiana, Elizabeth, age 18, b. Ohio, and Effie J., age 3 months, b. May [1870] in Oregon. Also enumerated in the home is W.F. Crabtree, age 13, b. Oregon.
1900 OR CENSUS - William Edgar, age 90, widowed, b. Mar 1810 in Virginia, is enumerated with Rancon H., age 55, occupation farmer, b. Dec 1844 in Virginia, and his wife of 31 years, Elizabeth, age 48, mother of 5 children 2 of whom are living at the time of the census, b. Feb 1852 in Ohio, along with Lovene, age 4, b. May 1896 in Oregon.

OBITUARY: 
WILLIAM EDGAR OF MARION DEAD
William Edgar, a pioneer of 1846, died at his home, 1 1/2 miles northwest of Marion, at 3 o'clock this morning, aged 91 years. Death resulted from old age.
Mr. Edgar came to Oregon in 1846, settling near Marion where he spent his entire life. His wife died some years ago and he is survived by one son and two daughter[s] as follows: Ponkin Edgar, Mrs. Farilotte Crabtee and Lorinda Robbins, all of Marion.
Burial services will be conducted Thursday. The funeral party will leave the late home at 10 o'clock and brief services will be conducted at the graveside in the Hunsaker cemetery which is located on the farm owned by the deceased. Rev. Hanshaw, of Turner, will officiate.
