OBITUARY:
Carol Humphries was born December 24, 1936 Mary Caroline Mulkey. Carol to her friends, she fought bravely but succumbed November 2, 2008. She was the second of eight children of Clifford W. and Mary Vivian Mulkey. Carol was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Duke; she is survived by her husband, Dee, her children, Ron, Sherry, Monique, and Jacqueline, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loyal daughter, a beloved sister, a devoted mother to more than her own, and a friend to so many. She didn’t know a stranger. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary Post 52 and the American Legion. Roses, Gardenias, Camellias, and Jasmine were some of her favorite flowers. She enjoyed gardening, the old time home crafts, and painting. She is remembered as a patriot, an artist, and one who loved to laugh. She was loved and respected by those who knew her.
