OBITUARY: 
Silverton – Walter Everett Parrish, 83, resident of Star Route, Silverton, died Wednesday morning in a Silverton nursing home where he has been the past month.
Parrish was born Sept. 5, 1876 at Albany, but lived in the Silverton area the past 45 years.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Grace Mulkey of Silverton; sister, Mrs. Grace Davis, Portland; brother, Charles Parrish of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; two grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 o’clock from the Memorial Chapel of Ekman Funeral Home at Silverton with interment at the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Rev. Edward Kenagy will officiate.
