OBITUARY:
Susie A. Smith passed away March 11, at the home of a daughter, Lorena Thompson, east of Pratum, at age of 84 years and 10 months. Survived by two daughters, Lorena Thompson and Nellie B. Antrim of Aloha, one son, Guy O. Smith of Salem; brother, E. C. Higgins of Spring Valley; six nieces, seven nephews, 13 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at the Walker & Howell chapel Monday, March 14, at 2 p.m. with Dr. D. H. Leach of Corvallis Methodist Church and Rev. Orville Whitman of Pratum Methodist Church officiating. Concluding services at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
