1930 OR CENSUS - Mack Mulkey, age 64, b. Oregon, is enumerated with his wife Estella, age 59, b. Oregon, along with Ralph, age 26, married, occupation farmer, b. Oregon, Arthur, age 20, single, occupation farmer, b. Oregon, Thelma, age 20, identified as daughter-in-law [of Mack], age 20, b. Washington, and Albert, identified as brother [of Mack], age 72, widowed, b. Oregon.
OBITUARY: 
Silverton – George B. McClellan Mulkey, better known to friends as ‘Mac’, died Friday morning at a local hospital. Born December 8, 1865, the last of six children, to C. J. and Irvah Kincaid Mulkey on his father’s donation land claim near Silver Cliff. The parents came from Missouri in 1845, crossing the plains by ox team. Mulkey lived on at the family home for the remainder of his life.
He was married to Estella Riches, daughter of Oregon pioneers, in Salem, December 20, 1889. To them were born eight children, all living in or near Silverton, but one living in California. Survived by the widow; children, Charles P., James W., Eldon, Ralph, Chester, Arthur, Mrs. Tirzah Warnock, and Leland, the latter in California. Services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of the Ekman Funeral home, Rev. Frank W. Zook officiating. (Source - Scrapbooks in Silverton Public Library)

Mulkey Funeral Will Be Sunday – Silverton – George ‘Mac’ Mulkey died at the Silverton hospital Friday morning after a week’s illness. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Ekman funeral home with Rev. Frank Zook officiating. Interment will be in the Warren Cemetery. Mulkey was born December 8, 1865, on the Silverton Hills farm where he has lived all his life. He was the son of C. J. and Irbath Kincaid Mulkey who came to Silverton from Missouri in 1845. He was married to Estella Riches December 20, 1889. Plans were being made for celebrating their golden wedding anniversary this winter.
Survivors are the widow, Estella Riches Mulkey; children, Charles, James, Eldon, Ralph, Arthur, and Mrs. Kenneth Warnock in the Silverton district; Leland in California and Chester at Salem.
Funeral arrangements are in charge of Ekman’s at Silverton.
This is the third death in the Riches family in less than six months. Mrs. Tom Riches died at Salem. She was followed closely by her brother-in-law, Jack Riches of Silverton. Mac Mulkey was a brother-in-law of the two. All were closely associated with Silverton’s pioneer history.
