1900 OR CENSUS - Eugene McMahan, age 4, b. Oct 1895 in Oregon, is enumerated with father Lenard [sic] McMahan, age 34, occupation lawyer, b. Oct 1865 [sic?] in Oregon, and [mother] Margarete, age 29, b. Feb 1871 in Oregon.
OBITUARY: 
E. H. McMahan Dies; Long Illness.
Eugene Harl McMahan, Alaskan prospector and miner, died Tuesday night in the Veteran’s Hospital in Portland following a prolonged illness. He was a son of Judge L. H. McMahan and the late Marguerite Griffith McMahan.
The deceased was born September 15, 1894 [sic], in the Waldo Hills district. He was a member of the American Legion and the Salem Elks Lodge. Surviving him are his father, Judge L. H. McMahan, a brother, Carl of Salem; a sister, Marguerite Barton of Tacoma. Only immediate friends and members of the family are asked to attend the funeral, which will take place at the family home, 891 N. Front Street, at 1 o’clock Thursday afternoon. Interment will be in the Warren Cemetery, Waldo Hills.
