OBITUARY:
Gloria A. Williams, 67, died Tuesday in Salem. She was a graduate of Independence High School and attended Oregon State College in Corvallis. She had lived in Salem since 1941. She worked for Oregon Physicians Service and later for Standard Insurance Co. in Salem until 1974. She married Robert T. Williams on April 25, 1943, in Independence. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and the Salem Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and sewing.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Janice Roche of Salem; sons, James R., and John R., both of Keizer; mother Carolyn G. Smith of Tualatin; and brother, Ray M. Smith of Lake Oswego.
At the request of the deceased, no service will be held. Private interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 241 Commercial St. NE, Salem, 97301. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden mortuary.
