OBITUARY: 
Mary Johanna Haun, 70, of Salem died Saturday. She was born in Springview, Neb. She moved to California in 1939 and to Oregon in 1942, living in Gates before moving to Salem in 1956. She worked for the Employment Division for 20 years, retiring in 1976. She was a tour escort for three years and did volunteer work in nursing homes and at the Salem Senior Center. She was active in the American Association of Retired Persons and was a member of Knight Memorial Congregational Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Louise M. Stevens, Salem, and Barbara J. Crites, Grants Pass; and brother, Ernest Larsen, Ainsworth, Neb.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery, Salem. Arrangements are under the direction of Rigdon-Ransom Mortuary.
The family suggests donations be made to the Doernbecker Children’s Hospital, 3181 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road, Portland.
