1880 OR CENSUS - Amanda Stormer, age 12, b. Oregon, is enumerated in the home of her brother John Stormer, age 22, occupation farmer, b. Oregon, along with Isic, identified as father [of John], age 64, occupation farm worker, b. Tennessee, and Mary, identified as mother [of John], age 41, b. North Carolina, along with siblings William, age 20, Minnerva, age 16, Abraham, age 14, and Frank, age 4, all born in Oregon.
MARRIAGE - "S. F. Anderson, over 24, & Amanda Stormer, over 20, m 26 Sep 1888 at house of & by T. C. Shaw, C. J. Aff: W. L. Simeral. Wit: Anna Chamberlain & Stella Newhouse. #3547 pg 19". , age 32, mother of 2 children, 1 of whom is living at the time of the census, b. Mar 1868 in Oregon, is enumerated with her husband of 11 years, Solomon F. Anderson, age 35, farmer, b. Nov 1864 in Iowa, along with Carl J., age 6, b. Aug 1894 in Oregon.
DISCREPANCY - DC gives date of birth as 16 Mar, but obit as 6 Mar.
OBITUARY: 
Mrs. Anderson Succumbs to 2-year Illness – Mrs. Amanda Anderson, 85, of 1685 Bellevue St., native of Oregon and resident of Salem the past 46 years, died Wednesday in a local hospital after an illness of over two years.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Viola, Oregon near Oregon City, March 6, 1868. Her parents, early pioneers in that community, had arrived there by wagon train in 1852.
The deceased lived in Viola until the age of 18, then moved near Pratum. She was married in Salem in 1888 to S.F. Anderson, who died in 1939.
The couple farmed near Pratum until 1907, when they moved to Salem, where Anderson operated at various times a creamery, garage, and grocery store.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of Knight Memorial Church, Salem. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Virginia L. Mitchell, Salem, and one grandson, Richard L. Mitchell, Salem.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Clough Barrick Chapel with the Rev. Louis E. White officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
