1880 OR CENSUS - Carrie Anderson, age 4, b. Oregon, is enumerated with father J. Francis Anderson, age 43, farmer, b. Iowa, and Lucinda, age 48, b. Virgina, along with Solomon, age 15, b. Iowa, George, age 13, b. Iowa, and Elizabeth, age 8, b. Oregon.
1900 IN CENSUS - Cary A. Bowers, age 24, b. Oct 1875 in Oregon, is enumerated with her husband Frank, age 27, occupation cartoonist, b. Dec 1872 in Oregon.
1920 OR CENSUS - Carrie V. Bowers, age 45, b. Oregon, is enumerated with her husband Frank S., age 47, occupation farmer, b. Oregon.
OBITUARY: 
Carrie Virginia Bowers – Late resident of Pratum, Oregon, at a local nursing home, Oct. 8th, at the age of 81 years. Survived by five nieces and one nephew. Services will be held Friday, Oct. 11th at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Clough-Barrick Funeral Home. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Salem (Special) – Death claimed Mrs. Carrie Virginia Bowers at a Salem nursing home here Tuesday. She was a long-time resident of the Silverton country and was the wife of Frank bowers, who retired in the Waldo Hills after a successful career as a cartoonist on an Indianapolis, Ind., paper.
Final rites will be held for Mrs. Bowers Friday at Clough Barrick Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Ralph Capolungo will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Bowers was a native of Pratum, where she was born Oct. 29, 1875, the daughter of J.F. and Lucinda Jarvis Anderson, who came to Oregon in 1870 from Iowa. She was wed to Mr. Bowers, also an Oregon pioneer, at Danville, Iowa, in 1900. They resided in Indianapolis for many years, where Mr. Bowers drew cartoons for the news.
Survivors include five nieces, Mrs. Ruth Allen of Silverton, Mrs. Lucille V. Mitchell, and Mrs. Myrtle S. Weeks of Salem, Mrs. Margery Graves of San Francisco, Mrs. Jean Umma of New Jersey, and one nephew, Max R. Flohrer of Salem.
Mrs. Bowers and her husband observed their 50th wedding anniversary in 1950.
