OBITUARY:
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Unger Funeral Chapel in Silverton for F. Ralph Egan of Silverton. Mr. Egan died Monday at Silver Gardens Care Center at the age of 77.
He was born October 23, 1910, in the Waldo Hills area to Frank and Minnie Egan.
He was a third generation farmer on the family acreage until he moved to town 12 years ago. A musician, he played for various bands throughout the Willamette Valley.
Survivors include a sister, Mildred Peterson of Silverton; brother Ardis Egan of Sunnyvale, Calif.; nephew Richard Egan of Sunnyvale, Calif.; and niece Sue Peterson of Portland.
Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Rev. Don Brekhus will officiate.
