1930 OR CENSUS - William A. Jones, age 53, occupation farmer, b. Oregon, is enumerated with his wife Eva T., age 48, married at age 25, b. Oregon, along with Thomas P., age 20, occupation farmer, b. Oregon, and Alice M., age 19, b. Oregon;
OBITUARY: 
W. A. Jones, 75, Succumbs, Rites Monday – William A. Jones, prominent Grange member and native of Marion County, died Friday at his home on Route 5, east of Salem. He died on the place where he was born, after an illness of several years. He was 75.
The son of Thomas A. and Ellen Short Jones, he was born Aug. 18, 1876. His father came to Oregon from Missouri in 1852, and his mother came to this area from Delaware in 1853.
He joined the Macleay Grange over 50 years ago, and was master for several years. He also served as master of the Marion County Pomona Grange for six years. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are the widow, the former Eva P. Patton, to whom he was married Jan. 30, 1907; a son, Thomas Jones of Salem, a daughter, Alice Meyer of Salem; two sisters, Edith Algo and Miss Bess Jones, both of Salem; three granddaughters, Carolyn, Donna, and Joyce Meyer, all of Salem.
Services will be held in the Virgil T. Golden Chapel at 2 p.m. Monday, with Dr. Earl Parker officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. [uncited]

Will Arthur Jones, at the residence, Salem Route 5, April 18. Survived by widow, Mrs. Eva T. Jones of Salem; daughter, Mrs. Alice Meyer of Salem; son, Thomas of Salem; two sisters, Miss Bessie Jones and Mrs. Edith Algo, both of Salem; two brothers, John and Clifford Jones, both of Salem. Services will be held in Virgil T. Golden Chapel Monday, April 21, 2 p.m. with Dr. Earle Parker officiating. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
