OBITUARY:
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday for John W. Goebel, 78, 1430 D St. NE, who died Thursday night. Rev. Leo Fishback will officiate in Virgil T. Golden mortuary with ritualistic rites by Salem lodge 4, AF &AM. Private interment will follow.
A retired home builder, he had lived in Salem since 1914.
Survivors include the widow Mary; daughter Mrs. Mary E. Nichols, Salem; sons Richard, Portland, and Willis, Salem; eight grandchildren.
