OBITUARY:
John Hasche Dies Following Collapse – John Hasche, employee of the Oregon Turkey Growers Association, collapsed at work Saturday and died while en route to a local hospital. Death was apparently from a heart attack.
Hasche, a late resident of 4630 Claxter Rd., was born in Germany November 2, 1897. He was a member of Jason Lee Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Hasche of Salem, a son, Melvin Hasche of Salem; a sister, Martha Hasche in Germany; and a brother, Henry Hasche, also of Germany. Funeral services will be held at the Howell-Edwards Funeral Chapel Wednesday, May 19 at 2 p.m. Rev. Ernest P. Goulder officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
