The children [through Edith] were born on Cornelius and Sarah's homestead in Victoria Springs, Custer County, NE. Most records show they were born Merna which is just a few miles from Victoria Springs. The family left the area which is 8 miles North of Broken Bow in 1890 by steam engine train to Albany, Linn Co., Oregon. They settled Sodaville out of Albany.
