Ohio, and his wife Ethel, age 49, b. Oregon, along with their children Roy, age 17, and Lois, age 11. Also enumerated is Mary M. Darby, age 72, widowed, b. Oregon, identified as mother-in-law [of Ben];
OBITUARY: 
Graveside service for Ava Jane Darby, 82, member of a pioneer Oregon family, will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Salem.
Miss Darby, a retired school teacher, had lived the past few years with her sister, Mrs. Ben Hofstetter, in Vancouver, Wash.
Born in Victor Point area of Oregon, she taught junior high school at Silverton. She also spent 10 years during and after World War II, working in a hospital in Honolulu.
Later she worked at Harriet Memorial Hospital in Berkeley, Calif., until she retired.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Hofstetter, Vancouver, and Mrs. J.J. Doerfler, Salem, and many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the American Cancer Society.
