1910 OR CENSUS - Mary Schaap, age 10, b. Iowa, is enumeratd with father George Schaap, age 50, occupation farmer, b. Illinois, and his (2nd) wife of 17 years, Edna, age 41, b. Illinois, along with Eleanor, age 14, b. Iowa, Esther, age 13, b. Iowa, and Frank, age 8, b. Iowa.
OBITUARY: 
Miss Mary Schaap, who died Monday in a mysterious fire at her Pratum area home, was a longtime resident of the area, and lived most of her 62 years on the family farm. He burned body was found in a pump house on the Schaap farm at Pratum. Police are investigating the cause of the fire. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Schaap, late residents of the Pratum area, who owned much of the land surrounding the Pratum community. Since the death last fall of a brother, Frank Schaap, Miss Schaap had lived alone in the family home. The farm had been placed for sale following the brother’s death neighbors said. Miss Schaap is survived by two sisters in California, Mrs. Esther Payne of Napa and Mrs. Eleanor Barnett of Long Beach. The latter is a former Pratum schoolteacher. Also surviving is a cousin, M. Schaap of Silverton Rt 2.
